Vintage Cotton Hand Crafted Kantha Quilt

This listing is for a cotton, hand quilted (using Kantha embroidery) throw as shown in pictures. Fully reversible and beautiful, vibrant prints on both side. Bed used in pictures is a queen sized bed.

MATERIAL: pure cotton.
Color : multi colored as shown in pictures
Process of Creation: 2-3 layers of vintage cotton sarees (Indian wrap around dress) and other pieces of printed, cotton fabric are softly hand quilted together using Kantha stitch.
Weight: ~2 lbs
Condition : minor imperfections such as patches from other colorful fabric, extra threads, blemishes etc. may exist and are considered to add to charm of these throws or quilts.

Rest assured, quilt will arrive at your home, washed and clean.

It is 400 year old art of hand embroidery originated from West Bengal, India and Bangladesh. There are various types of Kantha embroidery such as nakshi kantha, running kantha etc. This quilt has been made using running kantha.
